Open Days for Potential Ordinands

The Open Day is an occasion for potential applicants to meet the staff and the students at the House.

The next Open Day will be held on Saturday 23rd November 2019

Visitors and potential students will be able to experience the life of the House through its worship and communal life as well as to get some insights about ministerial formation in the Catholic tradition of the Church of England.

Provisional Programme

  • 10.00am: Coffee and Tea served in the Common Room
  • 10.30am: Tour of the college  and accommodation visits
  • 12 noon: Sung Mass in the church of St John the Evangelist
  • 1.00pm: Buffet lunch in the Dining Room
  • 2.00 pm: A panel of vocation advisers will answer questions about training for those exploring ordained ministry
  • 3.00 pm: Tutors and teaching staff will illustrate the various qualifications offered by St Stephen's House through the Universities of Oxford and Durham
  • 4.00pm: Tea and cakes served in the Common Room
  • 4.30pm: Evensong and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament in the House Chapel

The day should end at around 5.00pm.

Students and staff will be at hand throughout the day to answer your questions about residential training and your personal journey towards ordination.
