Each day at St. Stephen’s House is uplifted by worship. It is a tradition, a living and daily priority, a joy and not an obligation. Worship strengthens our shared convictions and sense of purpose, defining the meaning of our life together. It is the discipline that guides us and the bond that holds our community in God’s hands.

As both a worshipping and a learning community, we find that these two disciplines illuminate and mutually support each other. In combination they are the absolute crux of the ministerial formation and personal growth you will receive while you are in our care.

The working day begins and ends in the chapel with prayer and worship through the morning and evening offices.

The Mass is celebrated daily in the House Chapel, with Sung Masses in St. John’s Church on Sundays and feast days. There is an enthusiastic Children’s Church which meets on Sunday mornings, led by students and members of the wider College community.

There are also two nearby religious communities with whom we have a long standing and close affinity.
